Project: New Wine Release Packaging lient: Shafer Vineyards We developed this unique packaging approach for the first release of Shafer's One Point Five Cabernet which was targeted at wine media and key members of the trade. The goal was to create as much buzz as possible and we thought getting the wine directly into the hands of the gatekeepers was the best strategy. Included in the box was a bottle of wine, a high-end bottle opener and two booklets — one was a story of the father and son team at Shafer and their "generation-and-a-half story" (hence the wine's name) and the other was authored by a wine writer on the subject of family wineries around the world and how they handle secession. The response to the wine and the presentation was off the charts. +K Involvement: Concept, design, production and print supervision Product Photographer:    Russ Widstrand

Project: Packaging Design Client: RND Vodka We consulted and created this packaging design for a Santa Barbara-based vodka company. The key directive was to come up with a design that made the bottle jump off an already crowded shelf of vodka brands in tall frosted bottles. The brand name/look was tied to the founders who are scientists. We were also involved in creating sales materials, staff wear and outer packaging. K+K Involvement: Concept, design, product development and photography
